Magee Marsh and Southwest Shore of Lake Erie
Join us on Wednesday, May 14 to Saturday, May 17, 2025.


You will have every opportunity to explore the spring migration way-point along Northwest Ohio's Lake Erie Shore. Birders from across the world make this pilgrimage just to be able to see the vast number of birds feeding here.  Warblers galore!  Nashville, Black-throated greens, Black-and-whites, Yellow, Cape May, Black-throated blues, Prothonotary, Wilson's, and the list goes on and on!

The migration may start in April and early May, but for two weeks in May, the warblers and other spring migrants move through this area in huge numbers.  This guarantees everyone will see warblers, even folks without binoculars! There will be plenty of time to explore.

If you are a novice and want to gain experience identifying warblers and other birds, this is the best place to do it! Because of the vast numbers, you will often see the same type of bird several times. Plus, all the other birders are there pointing out and identifying what is "in the bush." These tree-top birds truly come down closer to your level!

The trip will visit Magee Marsh, Howard Marsh MetroPark, Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge, and Maumee Bay State Park. The hotel, 3 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 1 supper, gratuities and joy of traveling with members of the York Audubon Society are included in the price of the trip.

Pass the word onto your friends. We need enough folks registered by April 3 so that we know if the trip is a "go".  Your registration counts! If the trip is canceled all fees are refunded.

$150 deposit per person due with registration before April 3.
After April 1, total fee is due with registration. All final payments are due by April 20.
